I was born & raised in the West End and attended St. James School & Church in the early 60's. Fr. Mastrangelo was the pastor at the time and the first priest I ever knew. I remember him to be a very gentle sweet man. He took the time to get to know the students attending. I have thought of him over the years and have mentioned here and there that I have nothing but wonderful memories as a young girl having Fr Mastrangelo to look up to. I became a Presbyterian in 1988 but I will never forget Fr Mastrangelo who was an important mentor growing up of the Catholic faith! He was truly an angel of God!!!
