Father Joe was a magnificent priest -- a wonderful preacher, a gentle and loving pastor. Along with his beloved sister, Lena, he served the faithful of the Diocese of Pittsburgh for many, many years. I was privileged to be his organist at Regina Coeli almost fifty years ago. He and Lena became a part of our family and a dear and treasured friend through all the years that followed his assignment in our parish. He will be missed, but he is in heaven with the rest of his family -- how glorious must that reunion have been! God rest you, dear Father Joe! You were greatly loved.
