Upon hearing of Aunt Florence's passing, so many memories passed through my thoughts. From childhood times spending the night in the little house in New Castle and looking so forward to hanging out with my cousin Gregg. One highlight being, the smell of Aunt Florence's homemade bread and the loving atmosphere of her home. Then, times in the mountains learning to swim by the hand of either Patsy or Elaine, maybe both. But, Aunt Florence was always right there throwing in her "two cents". I remember her and my uncles coming up to Erie several times be sure my brother, sisters and I were doing ok when my family was going through struggles. I always felt her caring and loving spirit even as we became adults. I always looked forward to stopping by for a visit when in town. She always made one feel as they were the most special person on the planet. Of course, she would have on the coffee and some kind of baked good. I loved her very much and will cherish all the memories. I am sorry I could not be with you all to celebrate her life and mourn her passing.
