Theresa A. Quimby Golba, 70, of 1617 Wilson Ave. died the morning of March 27, 2011 at her residence in New Castle.

Theresa was born in Ellwood City on December 12, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Dominick and Mary Placonica Garuccio.

She was a member of St. Vitus Church.

She retired from Universal Rundle where she worked as a laborer. Theresa enjoyed baking and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by a daughter; Maria Allison and husband Larry of New Castle; two sons; Leonard Quimby and wife Shana of New Castle; Robert Quimby and wife Sadie of Washington, D.C.; three step-children; a brother; Aldo Garuccio of Ellwood City; a sister; Virginia Purnell, also of Ellwood City; eight grandchildren and her ex-husband and friend; Thomas Quimby.

A private blessing service will be held on Tuesday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. Rev. Father Sean Francis of St. Vitus Church will officiate.
