Obituary for Alice M. Merolillo (Ross)
Alice M. Merolillo, formerly of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of January 26, 2019 at her son’s home in Temple, TX.
Born in Struthers, OH, she was the daughter of Anthony Ross and Marie Lombardo DelSignore Ross. Her parents preceded her in death.
On October 23, 1954 she married her beloved husband, John O. Merolillo and he preceded her in death on September 7, 1975.
Alice was a devoted member of Mary Mother of Hope Parish. She was a very loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Her whole world revolved around her family.
Alice is survived by her children, Esther Turner of New Castle, Anthony Merolillo and his wife Leslie of Temple, TX, Loretta Edmiston of New Castle, Frank Merolillo of Temple, TX, and Shirl Varga and her husband Zoltan of New Castle, eight grandchildren, Zoltan Varga, Amanda Varga, Marie Hill, Kelli Tibbit, Gina Merolillo, Sarah Merolillo, Crystal Irvin, Kia Turner, nine great grandchildren, Casey Stamp, Sarah Stamp, Isreal Tibbit, Bethany Tibbit, Jayden Merolillo, Faith Merolillo, Bradley Burch, Hailey Burch, Carmen Vargas, and two great great grandchildren, Riley Colson, Milah Colson, God Daughter (Niece), Sue Trozzo and nephew, Nick Allegro.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony and Joseph DelSignore and one sister, Christine Allegro, and her niece, Lynda Emery.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:30 at St. Mary’s Church. Rev. Father Anthony Sciarappa will officiate.
Interment will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery, in Lowellville, OH.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
