Harold J.  McCormick
Harold J. McCormick, 87, of New Castle, passed away the evening of June 4, 2018 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born on August 10, 1930 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Genevieve McClure McCormick. Surviving at home is his beloved wife of 38 years, the former Dorothy Jaskola, whom he married on December 1, 1979.

After 46 years of working, Harold retired as an inspector for New Castle Refractories. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy. Harold was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church. He loved watching all Pittsburgh sports teams. An avid bird watcher, he also enjoyed feeding the birds.

In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by his brothers, Frank McCormick and wife Theda of Slippery Rock, PA, Charles McCormick and wife Sadie, and Dale McCormick and wife Harriett, all of New Castle, and sisters, Peg Patterson of Mercer, PA, Beverly McCormick of Orlando, FL, and Nancy Zurasky and husband John of Merrit Island, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Clyde McCormick.
