Gwendolyn Naomia  Hasson
Gwendolyn Naomia Hasson, 87, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of April 2, 2018 at Avalon Place. Born on January 16, 1931 in Roswell, NM, she was the daughter of the late Fred W. Abercrombie and Eleanor M. Rewold. On March 12, 1952, she married her beloved husband, Major Albert Eugene Hasson (Retired), and the two of them spent 40 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death on June 20, 1992.

A devoted homemaker, Gwendolyn will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who cherished the time she spent with her family.

Gwendolyn is survived by her children, Cheryl I. Crawford of Youngstown, OH, Caren J. Barry of Highland Village, TX, and Jessica Hasson-Whitson; grandchildren, Amanda N. (Jeffery) Rayome, Robert O. Barry III, Christian A. E. Whitson, and Angelia L. Whitson; and great-grandchildren, Riley N. Rayome, Reagan E. Rayome, and Jeffery J. Rayome. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia E. Hasson, son-in-law, Robert O. Barry II, and sisters, Elaine Bailey and Gloria Bolin.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00pm at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Matthew Mager of Sovereign Grace Chapel.

Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
