Betty A.  Villani
Betty A. Villani, 81, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of March 1, 2018 at Haven Convalescent Home. Born on April 15, 1936 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Fagnilli Micco. On June 26, 1954, she married her beloved husband, Charles L. Villani, and the two of them spent 53 years together until he preceded her in death on December 24, 2007.

Betty was a member of St. Vitus Church. She enjoyed visiting casinos and was a sports fan, especially enjoying watching Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers games. Betty’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her children, LuAnn Tanner and husband Mark of New Castle, Cheryl Filson and husband David of Hatboro, PA, Thomas Villani, and John Villani, both of New Castle; brother, Thomas Micco of Hillsville, PA; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Pat Micco, Harry Micco, and Andy Micco, and sisters, Florence Mancini and Angeline Ragnelli.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Monday at 9:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Vitus Church, officiated by Father Zachary Galiyas.

Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
