Chester W.  Herb Sr.
Chester W. Herb Sr., 84, of West Pittsburg, PA, passed away the morning of February 13, 2018 at Golden Hill Nursing Home. Born on February 6, 1934 in Enon Valley, PA, he was the son of the late William and Agnes Williams Herb. On May 5, 1961, he married his beloved wife, the former Gwendolyn Hiler, and the two of them spent over 52 years together until she preceded him in death on November 16, 2013.

Chester had worked as an estimator for Kildoo-Copper Lumber Company and then retired from Copper Lumber Company after 40 years of working. He also served his country as a member of the U.S. Army.

Chester is survived by his six sons, Chester W. Herb Jr. and wife Tammy of New Castle, Brian Herb and wife Autumn of Seven Fields, PA, Leslie Herb and wife Brenda, Scott Herb and wife Kim, Eric Herb and wife Melodi, and Bradley Herb and wife Taralee, all of New Castle; brother, Art Herb of New Castle; sisters, Joyce Herb, Carol Marmo, both of New Castle, and Shirley Ann Ault of New Brighton, PA; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Herb, and sister, Marge Hardesty.

Private services will be conducted at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St, officiated by Reverend Dennis Bupp.

Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
