Obituary for Janet L. Nolder

Janet L.  Nolder
Janet L. Nolder, 79, of New Castle, passed away the morning of June 29, 2017 at Avalon Nursing Home. Born on January 24, 1938 in Mt. Jackson, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Sheaer Seltzer. Surviving is her beloved husband of 60 years, James Nolder, whom she married on August 4, 1956.

Janet was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. She always loved cooking for the camp kids at Pentecostal Holiness Campground. Janet also enjoyed crocheting, completing puzzles, and reading, and she will be remembered as loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother as well as an outstanding seamstress.

In addition to her husband, Janet is survived by her children, Shirley Ann Skowvron and husband Barry of Pataskala, OH, Dorothy Feezle and husband Richard, and Jamie Rose, all of New Castle; brother, Robert Seltzer of New Castle; sister, Barbara Buckner of New Castle; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Monday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St., co-officiated by Reverend David Puffer and her daughter, Shirley Skowvron.

Entombment will take place in Castleview Memorial Gardens.
