Charles L.  Olinger Sr.
Charles L. Olinger Sr., 70, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of June 22, 2016 at his residence. Born on July 21, 1945 in Ellwood City, PA, he was a son of the late William and Dorothy Lockhart Olinger. Surviving at home is his beloved wife of 40 years, the former Rose Ann Ritchie, whom he married on November 8, 1975.

Charles had worked as a taxi cab driver for Yellow Cab Company. He enjoyed fishing and going to the casino, but Charles’ greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his children, Charles L. Olinger Jr. and wife Joanne, Renee Olinger, Anna Searcy and husband Charles, William Ritchie, Patricia Temple and husband Robert, Judy Robertson and husband Brad, Kenneth Ritchie, and Sheila Abraham, all of New Castle; brother, Claude Olinger of New Castle; sister-in-law, Josephine McDonald of New Castle; brother-in-law, Thomas Ritchie of New Castle; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Charles Olinger; sister, Loretta Olinger; and brothers, William and Ralph Olinger.

The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Services will be conducted Monday at 1:00pm at the funeral home, officiated by Reverend Matthew Bupp.
