Obituary for Rudolph Yakubik

Rudolph  Yakubik
Rudolph Yakubik, 86, of New Castle, passed away the morning of December 17, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital of Boardman, OH. Born on October 13, 1929 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Peter and Nellie Schmidt Yakubik. On April 5, 1956, he married his beloved wife, the former Shirley Lombardo, and the two spent over 39 wonderful years together until she preceded him in death on July 5, 1995.

Rudolph had worked as a butcher for Castle Brand Meats and Wnicks Meats. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Parish. Rudolph had a passion for working on cars and enjoyed doing mechanical work.

Rudolph is survived by his children, Michele Yakubik, Johanna Yakubik Mangino, Tamara Yakubik, Stephanie Yakubik, Steve Yakubik Daugherty, all of New Castle, Rudolph Yakubik of Redondo Beach, CA, and Robert Lee Yakubik of New Castle; sisters, Pearl Lenn of New Castle and Eleanor Sutkowski of Ellwood City, PA; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Terri Lynn Yakubik Ransom.

Honoring his wishes, private services were held Friday at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St, officiated by Father William Siple.

Interment took place in St. Lucy Cemetery.
