Mike A. Isabella, Sr., 95, of Edison Avenue passed away the evening of April 12, 2012 in Jameson Care Center.

He was born February 19, 1917 in New Castle and was the son of the late James and Florence Pallidino Isabella.

Mr. Isabella was a successful business man and the owner of the former Mike Isabella's Restaurant and Lounge for almost twenty years, now known as Edwards Restaurant and Lounge. He was also regarded as a very accomplished musician and was the president for fifty years for the New Castle Musicians Union. He was a member of the Red Coat Band and was involved with several different local bands and other musical organizations. Mike loved to fish and enjoyed spending his winters in Florida. His greatest joy was the time spent with family and friends.

He is survived by four children, Michael Isabella and wife Suzanne of Cape Coral, FL, George Isabella and wife Deborah of Philadelphia, PA, James Isabella and wife Bonnie of Poland, OH and Florence Richard of New Castle; his loving companion of fourteen years, Zita Pesano; two sisters, Florence LaFlam and Jennie Isabella both of Cape Coral, FL; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Withers, Julia Cheverette and Rose Curtis; three brothers, Frank Isabella, Joseph Isabella and Sylvester "Cy" Isabella and his former wife, Sophie Majewski Isabella.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3000 Wilmington Road.

A service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Pastor Anthony Kladitis of Northminster Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Entombment will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
