The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Nestasie can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

A Soft Spoken Man

Mr. Nestasie, as I knew him in the 1970's, was a soft spoken man that welcomed me into his home.  It was his family that introduced me to chic peas that I had never heard of before and love them to this day!  His family also taught me the correct way to eat an artichoke and his wife prepared the best!  My mom always spoke of how polite he was when seeing him in the community and he always asked about our family.   I'm very saddened for your loss and and having just lost my father-in-law in August, a WWII vet as well, and married for 68 years as well, I feel that our generation have lost two great gentlemen and they await us in Heaven!  I found out about your loss as my mom read the paper this morning while I was visiting her from out of town for a few days.  God God bless....Love, Suzanne
