Eleanor M. Klingensmith, 87, of Haven Nursing Home died the morning of Friday, May 9, 2008 in the Haven Nursing Home. She was born March 4, 1921 in New Castle, PA and was the daughter of the late Edward & Mildred Shook Campbell. She married John F. Klingensmith on January 9, 1939. He preceded her in death October 28, 2000.

Eleanor is survived by two daughters Betty Buchanan & companion Brant and Peggy Lombardo all of New Castle, PA; four sons Charles Klingensmith & wife Patty, Brandlee Klingensmith & companion Sophie, Paul Klingensmith and Thomas Klingensmith & wife Mildred all of New Castle, PA; thirty-three grandchildren, sixty-three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Cook; a son John E. Klingensmith and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, May 12, 2008 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., located at 941 S. Mill Street, New Castle, PA. A service will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Reverend Richard Nero will officiate.

Burial will be at Parkside Cemetery.
