Doris C. Nelson, 80, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of October 18, 2013 at Haven Convalescent Home. On February 20, 1933, she was born in New Castle to the late Elmer and Agnes Cox Beatty. Doris married Kenneth Nelson on October 21, 1972, and they were happily married until he passed away November 30, 2007.

Doris previously was a property manager in Grove City. She was a member of Neshannock Presbyterian Church.

Doris is survived by her sons, Wayne R. Kraft and wife Victoria of New Castle and Allan M. Kraft of Vancouver, WA; sister, Karen L. Majeski of Ellwood City, PA; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley J. Beatty and Marilyn L. Morris, and brother, Robert C. Beatty.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5pm to 8pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. Services will be conducted Monday at 1pm at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Bill Stone of Neshannock Presbyterian Church.

Interment will take place at Oak Park Cemetery.
