Obituary for Mary M. Kollar (Bukovina)

Mary M. Kollar, 90, of High Hill Road, Pulaski, PA passed away the morning of February 22, 2013 in UPMC Horizon, Farrell, PA.

She was born February 6, 1923 in Youngstown, OH and was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary Sicarik Bukovina. On April 1, 1941, she married her husband, the late Martin Kollar, Jr. He preceded her in death in 1996.

Mrs. Kollar was a homemaker. She enjoyed bingo, visiting casinos, gardening and animals. She especially enjoyed working on the family farm. She was always known as "grandma chicken". Mary was a member of St. James the Apostle Church.

She is survived by three children, Margaret Hermann of Youngstown, OH, Joanne Ohlinger and husband Raymond of Pulaski, PA and Martin Kollar III of Pulaski, PA; one sister, Ann Duraney of Camel, OH; six grandchlildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son-in-law, Richard Hermann; daughter-in-law, Joyce Kollar; sister, Margie Mesaros and five brothers, Mike, Joe, Martin, John and Steve Bukovina.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3000 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated by Father James Downs on Monday at 10:30 AM at St. James the Apostle Church, New Bedford, PA. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 AM for church. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery.
