Obituary for William J. Barber

William J. Barber, 92, of Neshannock Township, passed away the evening of March 4, 2019 at UPMC Jameson.

Born on October 19, 1926 in Martins Ferry, Ohio he was the son of the late Francis and Bertha Fleeman Barber.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, the former Josephine Massaro who he married on October 25, 1946.

He was a member of the Operating Engineer, Local 66 and had worked for Massaro Construction and Bruce & Merilee Electric, before he retired. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church. Bill had served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy. Bill loved to be outside and work in his garden. His greatest joy was time spent with his grandchildren, whom he dearly loved.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his daughter, Michele Brzoza and her husband Jim of Gibsonia, PA, three grandchildren, Erin Yokel and husband Cory, Natalie Weinheimer and husband Marc, Jack Brzoza, and two great-grandsons, Garett and Frazier.

In addition to his Parents Bill was preceded in death by his brothers, Ken, Richard, Jack, Tom and Robert and two sisters, Edith and Phoebe.

Visitation will be on Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.

A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
