Obituary for Thomas W. Ratvasky
Thomas W. Ratvasky, 93, of Neshannock Township passed away the morning of March 6, 2020 at Haven Convalescent Home.
Born on June 22, 1926 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Andrew and Anna Braho Ratvasky.
On January 21, 1956 Tom married his beloved wife the former Dolores M. Sniezek. She survives at home.
Tom was an over the road truck driver for several different freight lines until he retired.
Tom served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War Era.
Tom enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening. He also liked to play cards.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his children, Timothy Ratvasky and his wife Cindy of Washington, Pennsylvania, Maureen Mendel and her husband George of New Castle, Kimberly Haddon and her husband Don of West Middlesex, one sister, Helen Gargacz, and nine grandchildren, Stephen Ratvasky, Rachel Ratvasky, Matthew Mendel, Brittany Mendel, Caitlyn Mendel, Alexa Haddon, Lily Haddon, Cole Haddon and Connor Haddon.
In addition to his parents Tom was preceded in death by three brothers, and three sisters.
Honoring his wishes a private service will be held at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate.
Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
