Obituary for Thelma Gloria Gregg (Perrino)

Thelma Gloria Gregg, 92, of New Castle passed away the morning of April 25, 2019 at Hospice House of the Valley in Poland, Ohio.

Born on April 15, 1927 in Edinburg, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Mary J. Russo Perrino.

On June 1, 1946 she married her beloved husband, George M. Gregg. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1991.

Thelma had been a former employee at Johnson Bronze. She was a former member of St. Lawrence Church of Christ the King Parish, where she had been a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Christian Mothers of the Church. Thelma enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling and visiting family members, and was always ready to help anyone that needed anything. She truly loved her family and friends. Many considered her a second mother.

Thelma is survived by her children, Karen Yardis and her husband Gary of Bessemer, Pa, Dennis J. Gregg and his wife Mary of Lancaster, SC, Michele Gregg Altman of Beaver Falls, Pa, her brother, Edward Perrino and his wife Judy of New Castle, her sisters, Mary Richman of Edinburg, Pa and Patty Houseman of Chicago, IL , five grandchildren, Anthony Gregg, Dana Gregg, Christopher Gregg, Russell Gregg, Nicholas Gregg Altman, and three great-grandchildren, Alana Gregg, Aaron Gregg and Luca Gregg.

In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, Louis and Joseph Perrino, Jr. and her sister, Eleanor Frank.

Visitation will be on Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.

A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Church. Father Victor Molka, Jr. will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
