Obituary for Terry Arlene Crowl

Terry Arlene Crowl, 62, went to be with the Lord the morning of December 5, 2018, at UPMC Shadyside.

Born February 16, 1956, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Picarro) Hamilton. On September 4, 1976, Terry married her husband, Lumen “Butch” Crowl; he survives.

She was a 1974 graduate of New Castle High School. After graduation, Terry attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she was an art major. She is a former member of Second Presbyterian Church of New Castle. Terry was employed at her parent’s restaurant Villanova Inn for fifteen years. She spent eighteen years at AT&T as a relay operator, a job she enjoyed greatly. After its closing, Terry was employed at Liberty Mutual as a customer service representative before coming ill with leiomyosarcoma.

Terry was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her children Andrew (Brandi) Crowl, Joshua (Kiley) Crowl, and Kelly (Ron) DePorzio, all of New Castle, along with seven grandchildren, who loved spending time with their “Gee”.

Terry is also survived by her sister Gail (Harold) Crosten, her brother, Robert Hamilton, and sister-in-law Dixie Hamilton.

Terry was preceded in death by her sister Claire Ross, brother-in-law Kenneth Ross, and brother, Frank Hamilton.

Visitation is Friday from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd.

Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00AM at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Matthew Bupp.

Burial will take place at Parkside Cemetery and Mausoleum.
