Obituary for Sara L. "Sallie" Fellabaum (Yoxtheimer)

Sara “Sallie” L. Fellabaum, 87, passed away peacefully at her residence the evening of
April 16, 2021 with her loving children by her side.

Born on March 23, 1934, in Lock Haven, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leroy
and Sara Moyer Yoxtheimer.

On May 16, 1958 in Corpus Christi, Texas, Sallie married her beloved husband, Robert
“Bob” A. Fellabaum. Bob preceded her in death on July 16, 2019.

Sallie had proudly served her country as a member of the United States Navy, serving
as an Ensign in the Nurse Corps as a Registered Nurse. Sallie enjoyed an extensive 46
year career as an R.N. before her retirement with the State of Pennsylvania.

A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Sallie’s greatest joy was
spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed many years of foreign
travel with her husband, Bob.

She is survived by her daughter Allison (Jonathan) LaFleur of New Hampshire, her
daughter Meredith (Arthur) Nesbitt of New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, her son,
Christopher (Kiri) Fellabaum of South Carolina, her sister, Emily "Memmie" Monoski of Lock Haven, four grandchildren, Dana (Bethany) LaFleur, Julia LaFleur, Sara LaFleur and Cora Fellabaum and three great-grandchildren, Dane LaFleur, Emily LaFleur and Evelyn LaFleur and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sallie was preceded in death by her brother,
James Yoxtheimer and three sisters, Alice McLaughlin, Nancy McGowan and Helen
Raymond.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate.

Entombment will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Amedysis Hospice of Butler, PA, or the
charity of one’s choice.
