Obituary for Rita L. Orrico (Granato)
Rita L. Orrico, 97, formerly of Neshannock Township passed away the morning of December 23, 2020 at
Passavant Lutheran Nursing Home in Zelienople, Pa.
Born in New Castle on February 25, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Pagley Granato.
Rita married her beloved husband, Frank Orrico on February 12, 1941. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2003.
Rita was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Site.
She was a member of the Ladies of the Dukes. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rita’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.
Rita is survived by her children, Frank G. and Toni Orrico of Valencia, Pa., Mary Ann and Jon Walters of St. Augustine, FL, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rita was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Granato and Nick Adamo.
Due to the current health crisis within our community, a Private Blessing Service will be held at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. Deacon John Carran will officiate.
Entombment will be in Parkside Mausoleum.
