Obituary for Pearl Phillips (Prichard)

Pearl (Prichard) Phillips, 88, passed away in New Castle on May 2, 2021 after a short illness.

She was born in New Castle on October 26, 1932 to the late Benjamin Prichard and Helen (Swan) Prichard.

She was a member of the Hoover Heights Alliance Church and a member of the former Peoples Alliance Church. She was active as a Sunday School teacher, Youth Leader and a faithful prayer servant in Women’s Missionary Prayer Fellowship.

Pearl was a prayer warrior and friend to everyone she met. She never missed an opportunity to share her faith in Jesus Christ. She was known to share God’s love and word daily. She always wanted ones to know her favorite verse was meant for everyone. Proverbs 3: 5 & 6. She would share that if you would Trust in the Lord with all your heart that He would always direct your paths.

Pearl is survived by daughters, Terry Llewellyn and Debbie (Ken) Thompson both of New Castle, four grandsons, James (Cindy) Llewellyn, Michael (Kalie) Llewellyn, Christopher (Alison) Thompson, Phillips (Sarah) Thompson and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-four years, James D. Phillips, who died on March 1, 2015, son-in-law, Rev. Larry Llewellyn, and two sisters, Dorothy Hughes and Mary Jane George.

Pearl was a role model of Kindness, Honesty, Generosity, Acceptance and Love. As a woman of faith, she believed and lived her whole life to serve Jesus Christ. She raised her children to know him as she did. We are proud to call her Mom, Grandma and most of all Friend.
