Obituary for Pasqualina Laurenza
Pasqualina Laurenza, 84, of New Castle, passed away the morning of October 23, 2021 at Jameson Care Center.
Born in Baia e Latina, Caserta, Italy on February 3, 1937, Pasqualina was the daughter of the late Domenico and Filomena Amato Fusco.
Preceding her in death on February 10, 1991, is her husband Giovanni (John) Laurenza, whom she married on December 27, 1959. Pasqualina was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church.
Pasqualina lived a full life surrounded by good company and her family. Her home was constantly filled with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren which brought her much happiness and joy. Pasqualina always found ways to keep busy with gardening, baking and cooking delicious food for her family and spending time with her family. She was forever grateful for all of the great times she had, especially the memories made in her home.
Pasqualina is survived by her children, Anna (Mike) Perrotta of New Castle, Pierina “Patty” (Mark) Hoagland of Cape Coral, Fl; Rosa (John) Hiler of Pulaski, PA; Maria (Brent) Mayes of Slippery Rock, PA; Carmen Laurenza, Domenic Laurenza, both of New Castle, her brothers, Pasquale Antonio Fusco of Canada, Mario Fusco of Switzerland; her sisters, Angelina Fusco-Perrotta of Italy, Maria Fusco-Coppola of Italy, fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pasqualina is preceded in death by her brother, Michele Fusco and granddaughter, Alyssa Laurenza.
Visitation is Wednesday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 10:15am for Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am officiated by Rev. Father Benjamin Barr.
Entombment will take place at Castle View Memorial Gardens.
