Obituary for Norma N. Ferrare (DeLuca)

Norma N. Ferrare, of Shenango Township passed away the morning of August 31, 2019 at Haven Convalescent Home.

Born on March 26, 1929 in New Castle she was the daughter of the late Patsy and Margaret Lombardo DeLuca.

On February 14, 1953 she married the love of her life Henry R. Ferrare. After sixty one years of marriage he preceded her in death on May 31, 2019.

Norma had worked for Shenango Pottery in the earlier years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish.

Norma enjoyed bowling and card clubs. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family, especially holiday dinners and special get-togethers.

Norma is survived by her children, Kathy Conti of New Castle, David Ferrare and his wife Millie of Miami, Florida, Diane George and her husband Ted of New Castle, and her sister, Alba Nativio of New Castle, and five grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by seven sisters, Florence Cutlep, Mary Liverani, Flora Ambrose, Fernanda Leone, Edna Christopher, Stella Valentino and Rose Pelini, one brother, Anthony DeLuca.

Honoring her wishes there are no calling hours. A private Blessing Service will be held for the family at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. Deacon John Carran will officiate.

Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
