Obituary for Nicholas A. Neve
Nicholas A. Neve, 67, of Neshannock Township, passed away the evening of January 22, 2022 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born in New Castle on May 25, 1954, Nick was the son of the late Frank and Elvera Pauline Neve.
He is survived by his loving wife of over thirty-four years, the former Tammy DeMase, whom he married on May 30, 1987.
Nick was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church.
Nick attended Youngstown State University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree. He went on to earn his Master’s Degree from Westminster College. Nick had also earned his principal certificate. In 2019, he retired from Lawrence County Career and Technical School where he worked as an educator for over twenty-five years. Nick enjoyed cooking, baking and dancing. He cherished the times he spent with his family, especially his wife, children, nieces and nephews. Nick will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife Tammy, Nick is survived by his children, Nicholas F. Neve, of New Castle, Francesca Neve of Hermitage and Gianna Neve of Pittsburgh; his sister, Linda Van Dusen and husband Dave of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, his sister in-law, LeeAnn Dale and husband Robert and his brother-in-law, Walter DeMase, Jr and wife Annette, all of New Castle and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter, Sr. and Bonnie DeMase.
Visitation is Wednesday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday morning at 10:15am for Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am by Rev. Father Brendan Dawson.
Burial will take place at Parkside Cemetery.
