Obituary for Nadine A. Ferry (Tommelleo)

Nadine A. Ferry, 76, of Neshannock Township passed away the evening of September 22, 2021 at UPMC Passavant-McCandless.

Born on April 30, 1945 in New Castle she was the daughter of the late Tony and Adeline Tempesta Tommelleo.

On June 28, 1968 Nadine married her beloved husband, David A. Ferry. He survives at home.

Nadine had worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Croton Elementary School, and had also worked as a Beautician for many years.

Nadine was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church.

She enjoyed doing crafts and in the early years going bowling. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Nadine’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Nadine is survived by her children, David Ferry (Alissa), Jennifer Hoover (Rich), and Christopher Ferry (Kyrie) all of New Castle, one sister, Mary Ann Budzowski (Ron) of Monroe Falls, OH and six grandchildren, Olivia and Sophia Hoover, and David, Anthony, Christopher and Joey Ferry.

In addition to her parents, Nadine was preceded in death by her twin brother, Eugene Tommelleo.

Visitation will be on Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home, 3000 Wilmington Road.

A procession will leave the funeral home on Monday at 10:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Joseph McCaffrey, Pastor of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate.

The family recommends that visitors wear masks to the visitation and Mass.

Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
