Obituary for Mary Ann Connors (Joseph)
Mary Ann Connors, 98, formerly of Moody Avenue passed away on March 20, 2019 at Avalon Place.
Born in New Castle on November 14, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Saad Joseph.
On January 11, 1964 she married her beloved husband, Floyd J. Connors who preceded her in death on May 1, 2003.
Mary Ann had worked for Johnson Bronze as a machine operator. She later opened her own beauty shop on the south side which she had operated for twenty five years.
Mary Ann was a member of St. John the Baptist Maronite Church. She loved shopping and cooking, but her greatest joy was time she spent with her family.
Mary Ann is survived by her son, Gary Connors and his wife Esther of Hermitage, PA, two granddaughters, Lisa Connors and Lori Burk, and one great-grandson, Maverick Connors.
In addition to her parents and husband Mary Ann was preceded in death by four brothers, Peter, John, William and Carmen Joseph, two sisters, her twin, Cecelia Grossman and Francine Joseph.
Visitation will be on Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
A Blessing Service will be conducted on Saturday at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Deacon John Carran will officiate.
Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made in her name to the Lawrence County Humane Society, 628 Pearson Mill Rd. New Castle, Pa. 16101
