Obituary for Mary Barilla (Elisco)
Mary Barilla, 91, of Neshannock Township, passed away the morning of February 28, 2019 at UPMC Jameson.
Born on June 13, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Antonio (Tony) Elisco Sr. and Antoinette (Nellie) Pasquariello Elisco.
On April 21, 1949 Mary married her beloved husband, Norman A. Barilla who preceded her in death on June 20, 2016.
Mary was a life-long member of St. Vitus Church. Mary enjoyed cooking and visiting casinos, but as a loving wife, mother and grandmother her greatest joy was time spent with her family.
Mary is survived by her children, Attorney Norman J. Barilla and his wife Cindy of New Castle, Karen A. Hastings of Citra, Florida, Diane Frasso and her husband Charles of Hockessin, Delaware, her brother, Dr. Anthony Elisco, Jr. of Farrell, her sister, Madeline Elisco of New Castle, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Gary Barilla, son-in-law Angus Hastings and sister, Ann Dolly Cambro.
Visitation will be Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Monday at 9:15 a.m. for St. Vitus Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Father Kevin Nadolski, OSFS will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name to St. Vitus School, 915 S. Jefferson St. New Castle, Pa. 16101 or St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
