Obituary for Marietta Russo (Strizzi)
Marietta Russo, 99, of Neshannock Township passed away the evening of February 18, 2022 at Rhodes Estate.
Born on October 2, 1922 in New Castle she was the daughter of the late John and Edith Fisco Strizzi.
On March 22, 1945 Marietta marred her beloved husband Ralph A. Russo. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2020.
Marietta was a Seamstress by trade. She had worked for Troutmans and Sears Department Store.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild.
Marietta spent many years in a leadership role as a member of TOPS. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.
Marietta is survived by her daughter, Judy Doutt (Tim) of Norton, OH, daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Russo, her sister, Sylvia (Paul) Fazzone all of New Castle, five grandchildren, Craig and wife Megan, Graham and wife Lindsey, Scott and wife Roseann, Nina and husband Shawn, Bryan and wife Kristin, ten great grandchildren, Grant, Lucas, Spencer, Frankie, Maree, Torri, Natalie, Nathan, Ralph and Christopher.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marietta was preceded in death by her son, Ronald and brother, David Strizzi.
Visitation will be on Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Church. Father Brendan Dawson will officiate.
Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
