Obituary for Margaret Doster (Collette)
Margaret Doster, 83, of New Castle passed away on August 24, 2019 at UPMC Jameson.
Born on December 17, 1935 in Enon Valley, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Huey A. and Bertie L. Hayes Collette.
Margaret was married to Samuel Doster who preceded her in death in August, 2000.
Margaret had worked at various restaurants in New Castle and then Golden Hill Nursing Home.
Margaret enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her granddaughter Cassidy playing card games.
Margaret is survived by her children, Kenneth Ford and Kemp Doster, both of New Castle, her daughter, Linda Strickler and her husband Dave of Burghill, Ohio, thirteen grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Lou Berry, four brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate.
Entombment will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
