Obituary for Margaret Connolly (Walzer)
Margaret Connolly, 82, of Edinburg, Pa. passed away the afternoon of February 7, 2022 at Avalon Nursing Center.
Born on December 19, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bernice Reuter Walzer.
Margaret was married to her beloved husband, Robert Connolly. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2012.
Margaret at worked as a School Teacher for the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV.
Margaret was an avid cat lover. She enjoyed sewing, swimming and going on cruises. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, Margaret’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.
Margaret is survived by her children, Monica (Jim) Cooper of New Castle, Scott Connolly of Hickory, NC, three sisters, Patricia Miller of Fairfax, VA, Martha Garansi, Sanaurita, AZ, and Gloria Bogue of Wimauma, FL, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her son, David Stoner and one sister, Donna Grubb.
Visitation will be on Friday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
A Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 6:00 p.m. Rev. Emily Cooper will officiate.
