Obituary for Joseph Vanasco
Joseph Vanasco, 90, of Neshannock Township passed away the afternoon of July 12, 2020 at his residence.
Born on July 19, 1929 in New Castle he was the son of the late Rosario and Antoinette DeStefano Vanasco.
On November 13, 1950 Joe married his beloved wife, the former Faye R. Hunsburger. She preceded him in death on December 17, 2017.
Joe had worked for American Cyanamid Rockwell Springs Works, and United Rental Company.
He was an active member of Second Presbyterian Church. Joe helped with all their maintenance in the church.
Joe served his country as a member of the United State Marine Corp during World War II.
Joe enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved music and dancing. A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather Joe was a big family guy.
Joe is survived by his children, Beverly E. Vanasco of New Castle with whom he made his home, David Vanasco and his wife Carol of New Castle, seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandy Lopuh, four brothers, Ross, Mike, Bart and Frank Vanasco, and two sisters, Lena Leckwart and Mary Damiano.
There is no visitation and the service is private.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
