Obituary for Joseph R. Soltes
Joseph R. Soltes, 83, of Southpark Twp., PA, peacefully passed away on December 3, 2018 at Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills, PA.
He was born on December 13, 1934 in Pittsburgh.
On July 31, 1976 he married his loving wife of forty two years, the former Marie Ritchie. She survives at home.
Joseph was a graduate of Brentwood High School and later earned a degree from Duquesne University. Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from U.S. Steel where he had worked in management. He had also worked for the P.S.E.R.S.
Joseph was a devoted husband and uncle and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gerald Soltes.
Private calling hours and services will be held at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road, New Castle, Pa.
Interment will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
