Obituary for Joseph A. Marinelli

Joseph A. Marinelli, Sr., 89, of Neshannock Township passed away on October 9, 2021 at Quality Life Services Grove City.

Born on July 7, 1932 in New Castle he was the son of the late Anthony and Helen DeLanzo Marinelli.

On March 12, 1979 Joe married his beloved wife, the former Jacqueline Harter. She survives at home.

Joe was the owner and president of City Trailer Inc. and NCB Technologies.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church.

Joe was a college athlete and avid sports fan. He enjoyed dancing. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Joe’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his children, Pastor Joseph F. Marinelli of New Castle, Robert D. Marinelli (Kimberly) of New Castle, Lisa Marinelli Bishop (Justin) of Georgia, Hedy Krenn (Polifron) of Pittsburgh, and Bradley Polifron (Katyia) of Virginia, his brother, Anthony J. Marinelli (Sandra) of New Castle, two sisters, Prudence (Marinellli) Jones and Clara (Marinelli) Warner, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Josephine Marinelli Petro.

Visitation will be on Wednesday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.

A Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Father Benjamin Barr will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
