Obituary for John C. Micco
John C. Micco, Jr. 78, of New Castle passed away the evening of May 12, 2021 at his residence.
Born on November 29, 1942 in New Castle he was the son of the late John C. Micco, Sr. and Elvera Gillest Micco.
John had worked as an Engineer for Chessie System Railroad.
He had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
John was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Site.
John enjoyed model trains. He loved music and was well known for his musical abilities when playing his guitar or keyboard. He also loved to dance. John also enjoyed photography. A loving father, and grandfather, John’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
John is survived by his three children, Renae Cotelesse and her husband Chris, John C Micco, III and his wife Heather and Christopher Micco, two brothers, Donald G. Micco and Samuel F. Micco, three sisters, Marguerite Conti, Elvera Richey, and Ann Fava and six grandchildren, Marissa, John Thomas, Allison, Vincent, Joey and Nicholas.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle and two sisters, Joan Caparoula and Patricia Cardella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Site. Father Joseph McCaffrey, Pastor will officiate.
The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Rites.
Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
