Obituary for James C. Kennedy
James C. Kennedy, 78, of New Castle passed away March 3, 2019 at his residence. Born in New Castle on September 1, 1940,
James was the son of the late Clair and Hazel Mann Kennedy. He is preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorothy Cornelius.
James had worked as a garbage collector for Tri-County Industries. James enjoyed horse racing and had trained horses. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. James was known for always being happy and thankful for the blessings in his life.
James is survived by his sister, Zoe Sallmen and her husband Daniel of New Wilmington, four nieces and two nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Larry Kennedy and Victor Kennedy and his sister, Robin Kennedy.
Visitation is Thursday from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home 3000 Wilmington Rd. followed by a service at 1:00pm conducted by Pastor Robert Feil.
Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
