Obituary for James F. Hardisky

James F. Hardisky, 94, of Edinburg, Pa., passed away the afternoon of January 20, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospital Youngstown, Ohio.
Born on April 4, 1927 in Volant, Pa. Jim was the son of the late Michael and Mary Hlopko Hardisky.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, the former Delores Hayduchak who he married on November 26, 1949.
He had worked as a Machine Programmer for thirty five years for United Engineering, then Wean United until he retired.
Jim was an active member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. James Church where he served as an usher and worked with Mardi Gras Festivities for many years.
He was an avid outdoorsman, going hunting and fishing. Jim also enjoyed traveling and doing woodworking projects. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Jim’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his two daughters, Linda Rachic (Sy) of New Middleton, OH, and Diana Gorski (Ron) of Boardman, OH, his sister, Loretta Yasher of Pulaski, PA, two grandchildren, Brian Pierog (Jodi) and James Graff (Ela) and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Stacey Lambert and fourteen brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be on Monday 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Church. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church. Father Joseph McCaffrey, Pastor will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
