Obituary for James A. DeLillo Sr.

James A. DeLillo Sr., 95, formerly of Franklin Ave. passed away the evening of January 3, 2020 at Haven Convalescent Home.

Born on June 3, 1924 in New Castle he was the son of the late John and Julia Ritchie DeLillo.

On November 5, 1949 he married his beloved wife the former Adeline Frank. She preceded him in death on July 16, 2018.

Jim had worked as a Machine Operator at Johnson Bronze for thirty-two years until he retired.

Jim was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Site.

He had served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
Jim was known as an accomplished Artist in painting, carving and drawing. He also enjoyed traveling and gardening.

Jim is survived by his children, James DeLillo, Jr. of New Castle, Deborah Zona and her husband Pete of West Pittsburg, Mark DeLillo and his wife Georgie of Gautier, Mississippi, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph DeLillo.

A private Visitation and Blessing Service will be held at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.

The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform military rites at the funeral home.

Entombment will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
