Obituary for Helen S. Blewett

Helen S. Blewett, 80, of Neshannock Township, passed away the evening of July 30, 2022 at UPMC Jameson.

Born in Alpena, MI on October 1, 1941, Helen was the daughter of the late Levi and Edith Ladkau Stevens.

Preceding her in death on September 25, 2006 is her husband, Rev. John Blewett, whom she married on June 15, 1963.

Helen was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Helen had worked as a secretary for the Caroline Knox Foundation for several years.

Helen enjoyed being a homemaker and loved canning and cooking for her family. Her most cherished moments were the times she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Margaret (Thomas) Riggans, Kathleen (Robert) Meeks, both of New Castle, Dr. Christopher Blewett (Holli) of St. Louis, MO, Michael Blewett of Alpena, MI; her brother, Ralph Stevens of Graland, MI, her sisters, Jane Rousseau of Flushing, MI, Janet Peri of Roswell, N.M.; and twelve grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen is preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

Family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00pm at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Father Dennis Blauser.

Entombment will take place at Trinity Episcopal Columbarium.
