Obituary for Gary Greer
Gary Greer, 73, formerly of New Castle passed away the afternoon of October 24, 2019 at UPMC East Monroeville.
Born on May 11, 1946 in New Castle he was the son of the late Phillip and Ruby McCullough Greer.
Gary married Judy A. Greer and she preceded him in death on February 17, 2011.
Gary had worked as a Millwright for Sharon Tubular Company.
Gary was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
Gary loved going fishing and hunting. He was a member of Rapid Tappets as he enjoyed classic cards and model trains.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Alan) Winter of Natrona Heights, his sister, Lynn Johnston of New Castle, and two grandchildren, Austin and Aydan Winter.
In addition to his parents and wife, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Gordon Greer.
Visitation will be on Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
A service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Allan Drake will officiate.
Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
