Obituary for Francis E. "Mooney" Schaville
Francis E. “Mooney” Schaville, 86, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of December 11, 2018 at his residence.
Born on February 7, 1932 in Hillsville, he was the son of the late Nick and Theresa Sacco Schaville.
On September 10, 1955 he married his beloved wife, the former R. Arleen Carothers who preceded him in death on April 9, 2015.
Francis owned his own barber shop and later Moon’s Sand & Gravel. He was a member of St. Camillus Church. Francis was an outstanding running back for Bessemer High School and then at Youngstown State University. He also enjoyed stock car racing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Francis is survived by his son, Dr. Phillip “Jamie” Schaville and his wife Denise of New Castle, three grandchildren, Jessica, Phillip Jr., and Steven Schaville all of New Castle.
In addition to his parents and wife, Francis was preceded in death by one sister.
A private blessing service will be conducted at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road, officiated by Father Mark Eckman.
Entombment will take place in Parkside Mausoleum.
