Obituary for Frances L. Scialabba (Geisler)
Frances L. Scialabba, 79, of New Castle, passed away April 29, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 6, 1940, Frances was the daughter of the late Leo and Frances Patrignani Geisler.
Surviving at home is her devoted husband of over fifty- nine years, Vincent Scialabba, whom she married on July 1, 1960.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus site.
Frances had worked in the family business as an insurance officer with her brother at Geisler Insurance Company in Poland, OH for over thirty years.
She enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to two bridge clubs. She loved cooking family dinners and attending her grandchildren’s activities. Frances was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved having good conversations with her children. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Frances is survived by her five children, Dawna (Jeff) Steinbrink of Cranberry Township, Autumn (Brian) Herb of Cranberry Township, Randy (Jean) Scialabba of Neshannock Township, Trina (Sam) Sibeto of Shenango Township, Todd Scialabba of Neshannock Township; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Leo James Geisler.
A private Blessing Service will be held at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. officiated by Rev. Father Anthony Sciarappa.
Entombment will take place at Parkside Mausoleum.
