Obituary for Fr. David A. Sansone

Father David A. Sansone 60, of Neshannock Township passed away the evening of Wednesday, March 9, 2022 after a lengthy Illness.

Fr. David was born on May 17, 1961 in New Castle. His father, Alexander A. Sansone preceded him in death on July 8, 2008. His mother Jacqueline Lee Kradel Sansone survives in New Castle.

He was a 1979 graduate of Neshannock High School. In 1983 he graduated from Duquesne University after completing Seminary Studies. He was ordained a Catholic Priest in 1999. He was the former pastor of Our Lady of Victory Parish in Necedah, Wisconsin, prior to his early retirement due to illness.

Fr. David had a deep love for his God, his church and his family. He was well-versed and self-taught in many languages. He was a Historian, had wonderful singing voice and was a great impersonator. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, Fr. David is survived by his brothers, Randall Sansone (Patricia), Mark A. Sansone, Sr. (Darlene), Joel Sansone (Barbara) all of New Castle, one sister, Mary Beth Mercer (Tim), God-Daughter and niece, Christina McCaskey, his niece, Nicole Halpert, nephews, Nicholas Sansone, Mark Sansone, Jr., Gregory Sansone, Ryan Sansone, Alex Sansone, Peter Mercer, Danny Mercer and special aunt, Vivian Sansone.

In addition to his father, Fr. David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dominick and Grace Iodice Sansone and grandmother, Elizabeth Kradel and special uncle Thomas Sansone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Father Brendan Dawson will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
