Obituary for Dorothy L. Searfoss
Dorothy L. “Dottie” Searfoss, 64 of Union Township passed away the morning of November 11, 2021 at her residence.
Born on January 14, 1957 in New Castle she was the daughter of the late George P. and Dorothy L. Styers Searfoss.
Dottie attended Jubilee Ministries.
Dottie enjoyed sewing and doing crafts. She had worked as a professional clown for Castle Clowns in New Castle and Assorted Nuts in Ohio, known to many as “Rainbow the Clown. A loving sister and aunt Dottie’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her family. With her love for animals, she will also be greatly missed by her beloved dog, Princess.
Dottie is survived by her brother, Clyde Searfoss (Cheryl) of Celina, OH, her sister, Janice Testa of New Castle, Brother-in-law, Larry Hoffman of Harrisburg, three nephews, Scott Hoffman (Christina), Jason Hoffman and Doug Searfoss.
In addition to her parents, Dottie was preceded in death by three sisters, Joyce Ann Searfoss, Georgia Hoffman and Patricia Searfoss.
Visitation will be on Wednesday 11:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m., conducted by Pastor Tony Flowers.
Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
