Obituary for David C. Arena

David C. Arena, 77, of New Castle passed away the morning of December 23, 2021 at his residence.

Born on April 8, 1944 in Ellwood City he was the son of the late Patsy and Frances Napolitano Arena.

On June 21, 1998 he married his beloved wife, the former Shelley A. Lloyd. She survives at home.

David had worked as a car salesman for Phil Fitts Ford, and McCandless Motors. He then retired from King Motors.

David was an avid outdoors man, enjoying golfing and going fishing. He also enjoyed going to Bingo. A loving husband, father, step-father and grandfather David’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family. His favorite past time was cruising the ocean waters with his loving wife Shelley. Together they shared fifty-two cruises making a lifetime of memories.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by his three children, Stacey Hartman, Shannon Branham and Michelle Kennedy, four step-children, James Ramsey, Michael Ramsey, Daniel Ramsey and Jodi Ramsey Richardson, two grandchildren, six-step grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Arena and grandson, Brent Hartman.

Visitation will be on Monday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.

A service will be held on Monday at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate.
