Obituary for Carmen Cucitrone

Carmen Cucitrone, 83, of New Castle passed away on the afternoon of February 10, 2021 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 26, 1938 in New Castle he was the son of the late Nunzio and Angeline Piscitelli Cucitrone.
On September 28, 1957 Carmen married his beloved wife, the former Georgina E. Biangone. She preceded him in death on November 3, 2020.

Carmen had worked for Republic Steel as a Foreman. He then worked as Director of Maintenance at First Assembly of God Church until he retired at age seventy-eight.

As an active and devoted member of First Assembly of God Church, Carmen served on the board for many years. He was an avid golfer. A loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Carmen’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.

Carmen is survived by his children, Robert Cucitrone of Hermitage, Pa., Deborah Burke (Thomas) of New Castle and Linda Moser (Stefan) of Hubbard, Ohio, one brother, George Cucitrone of Rhode Island, seven grandchildren, Ashley Elisco, Adam Cucitrone, Jocelynn Gonzalez, Caitlin Cucitrone, Gabrielle Elisco, Anthony Tyma and Stefan Moser, two great-grandchildren, Maryalice Gonzalez and Madalyn Gonzalez.

In addition to his parents and wife, Carmen was preceded in death by his sister, Caroline Anastasia.

Due to the current health crisis within our community, a private visitation will be held on Monday, 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. A private service will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Pete Squillo will officiate.

Entombment will be in Parkside Mausoleum.
