Betty Perry, 82, of New Castle passed away on July 3, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.

Born on March 13, 1939 in Scottdale, PA she was the daughter of the late George and Betty Crockett Wyland.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Perry, Sr.

Betty enjoyed visiting local casinos. A loving mother and grandmother Betty’s greatest joy was spending quality time with her family, especially her granddaughters.

Betty is survived by her children, Michael Perry, Cheryl Hackett and Rochelle Mrozek all of New Castle, two granddaughters, Caitlynn Barber (Scott) of New Castle and Rebecca Ithen (Gabin) of Grove City. Betty will also be missed by her pet turtle, Survivor.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Perry, Jr. and two sisters, Maribell Viggiano and Georgia Smith.

Visitation will be on Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.

A service will follow on Thursday at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate.

Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
