Obituary for Barbara A. Atwood (Bell)
Barbara Ann Bell Atwood, 77, of Farrell, Pa. passed away on February 2, 2022 at Sharon Regional Hospital, Farrell, Pa.
She was born on August 9, 1944 in New Castle to the late Arthur John and Viola E. Coleman Bell.
Barbara was married to her beloved husband, Harry Atwood. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2018.
Barbara had worked for a number of years at Jameson Memorial Hospital and then for Pennsylvania American Water Company.
She enjoyed cooking, shopping and doing yard work. A loving mother and grandmother, Barbara’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Barbara is survived by two sons, Derek and Harry both of Farrell, Pa., two sisters, Elizabeth Bell Adams and Melinda Bell Allen, three brothers, Charles (Sadie), Terry (Fay Bell), DuWayne (Stephanie) all of New Castle and five grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by two daughters, Nicole and Tiffany, four brothers, John Henry, Jay Dell, Earl Lanza and Valentino Lanza and one sister, Geraldine.
Visitation will be on Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
A Blessing will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Terrance J. Harrison of Valley Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Moorefield Cemetery.
